Affymetrix GEx Human

Most widely used arrays of Affymetrix for human samples (please note that not all Arrays are available in a format that can be used on the GeneTitan™ instrument):

Human Gene ST array

The GeneChip® Human Gene 1.0 ST Array is a unique product in the family of Affymetrix expression arrays offering whole-transcript coverage. Each of the 28,869 genes is represented on the array by approximately 26 probes spread across the full length of the gene, providing complete and more accurate picture of gene expression. The array is available in cartridge format as well as the high throughput GeneTitan plate array format. The plates enables high-throughput expression profiling of 16, 24, or 96 samples at the same time.

Human Exon ST Array

With approximately four probes per exon and roughly 40 probes per gene, the GeneChip® Human Exon ST Array enables two complementary levels of analysis—gene expression and alternative splicing. Multiple probes per exon enable "exon-level" analysis and allow you to distinguish between different isoforms of a gene. 

Human Genome U133 plus 2.0 array

The probes that are included in the GeneChip Human U133 set are identical to those on the Human Genome U133 plus 2.0 Array. In addition, there are 9,921 new probe sets representing about 6,500 new genes. This family of arrays enables you to analyze gene expression across the whole genome. Analyse the relative expression of over 47,000 transcripts and variants. The array is available in cartridge format as well as the high throughput GeneTitan plate array format. The plates enables high throughput expression profiling of 16, 24 or 96 samples at a time.
